Outlook 2024 IMAP issue for Gmail

Today came across an issue where the Outlook 2024 took very long to synchronize between Gmail and Outlook 2024 via IMAP. And the Inbox emails was not updated despite completion of sync
Modified some default settings via "Use Custom Behavior Defined Below", and select those folders needed to be updated.
Emails sync slightly faster and updated immediately. Feeling puzzled though.
